Who is Eligible for Skilled Immigration to Canada Through the (FSW) Program?
The federal skilled worker program is covered by the express entry system, which allows skilled foreign nationals from all over the world to apply for skilled immigration to Canada.
The program seeks to choose candidates with the highest chance of settling in Canada.
It is one of two basic federal programs for skilled workers under express entry, along with the Canadian experience class.
Candidates who find 370 eligible occupations under express entry and meet the maximum entry criteria can be allowed to submit a profile to the express entry pool.
The candidates’ profiles in the pool are ranked under a vast range system. The highest ratio of ranking candidates receives an invitation to apply for permanent residences.
Eligible candidates who receive an invitation must submit an application with complete documents within 60 days.

Skilled Immigration to Canada-Eligibility For (FSW) Program
To get eligibility for the federal worker program, applicants must meet the essential conditions:
Relevant Work Experience: Applicants must have had at least one year of continuous full-time paid employment, or the equivalent of part-time employment, during the previous decade. The job experience must correspond to one of the 370 acceptable occupations specified in the National Occupational Classification system.
Occupational Classification: Work experience should be classified as TEER 0, 1, 2, or 3 in the National Occupational Classification. These categories include management professions, vocations requiring a university degree, college diplomas or apprenticeship training, and supervisory positions.
Skilled Worker Point Grid: Candidates must earn enough points based on six selection criteria, which include education, work experience, language skills, age, arranged employment in Canada, and adaptability. Meeting the minimum point criterion is critical to consideration.
Language Proficiency: Proficiency in either English or French is required. Applicants must complete language testing with a recognised third party and demonstrate at least an intermediate level corresponding to a Canadian Language Benchmark of 7.
Settlement Money: Candidates must demonstrate that they have enough settlement money to maintain themselves and their families upon arriving in Canada. This provision ensures newcomers can establish themselves in the country without relying entirely on job earnings.
Security and Medical Clearance: Successful applicants must pass a thorough security background check and a medical test. This stage guarantees that people entering Canada meet health and security criteria, thereby contributing to the safety and well-being of Canadian society.
Eligible applicants are evaluated against six essential factors to determine their eligibility for immigration to Canada. Applicants must avail a total of 67 points out of 0 into qualification factors for skilled immigration to Canada:

Applicants with language proficiency must score at least 67 points on the skilled worker selection to be eligible for the federal skilled worker program.
Language, age, education, employment experience, arranged Canadian adaptation, and occupation are all worth points.
Education- Maximum Of 25 Points
Education is worth a maximum of 25 points. These points were awarded to applicants with doctoral degrees. To determine their Canadian equivalent, Overseas credentials will be evaluated by a designated third party.
Language- Maximum Of 28 Points, Minimum Threshold Of 16 Points
Only those applicants eligible to demonstrate an intermediate to a high level of proficiency in one of the official Canadian languages, French or English, will be considered. Only those Applicant score at least 16 points meet the minimum threshold. However, higher language proficiency leads to a score of up to 24 points.
Language Proficiency – Extra 4 points
Candidates can receive an additional 4 points by demonstrating competency in a second official language, which increases their eligibility for the programme.
Employment Experience: Minimum 9, Maximum 15 Points
To qualify, candidates must have at least one year of work experience in an appropriate occupation, with up to six years considered.
Age – Maximum 12 Points
Candidates aged 18 to 35 can earn up to 12 points. However, points are deducted by one for each year after age 35, and no points are awarded after age 47.
Arranged Employment – 0 or 10 points.
Individuals with genuine job offers in Canada may obtain up to ten points. For the job offer to be considered, a favourable labour market impact assessment is essential. Employers must demonstrate that hiring a foreign worker would not harm the local labour market.
Adaptability – Maximum 10 points.
Applicants with at least one year of full-time Canadian work experience in managerial, professional, technical, or skilled trade vocations will receive the most points. A certified work offer adds five points to the adaptability factor. Other factors to examine include having a close adult relative in Canada, the applicant or spouse’s Canadian educational background, the spouse’s previous Canadian employment experience, or the spouse’s proficiency in one of Canada’s official languages.
