General Requirement for Australia Skilled Immigration visa:
Australia skilled immigration visa is point based and uses the Skill-Select system for points evaluation. The applicant will score points that will vary according to the following factor:

- Spouse/partner skills and qualifications

1. Nominated Occupation
Nominated occupations are occupations in demand. The applicant’s occupation must be listed on Australia’s Medium and Long-term Strategic Skills List (MLTSSL), the Short-term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL), the Regional Occupation List (ROL), or the Regional Sponsored Migration Scheme (RSMS) ROL List, which includes professions that are in-demand or experiencing low labor. Afterward, the applicant is accessed by the skill-accessing authority for the applied occupation.

- Employer-Sponsored visa
- General Skilled Migration (GMS) visa
- Temporary Graduate visa (subclass 485)
- Temporary Skill Shortage (TSS) visa
2. Age
The preference factor and scoring are based on the age of the applicant. Applicant should be above 18 and below 45 years. Ages and points are divided into the following groups:

3. English language proficiency

5. Educational qualifications

6. Australian qualifications
Any applicant with an Australian degree of 2 years that is completed while living in Australia is awarded 5 points.
7. Regional study
Applicants get 5 additional points if they complete 2 years of a degree from “regional Australia/low population growth metropolitan area” in Australia.
8. Community language skills
The applicant will achieve 5 points if they have translator/interpreter skills in one of Australia’s designated community languages. These skills have to be recognized by Australia’s NAATI (National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters).
9. Spouse/partner skills and qualifications
If a spouse/partner is included in the visa application and is not an Australian resident, they may contribute to the total number of points. To obtain points, the spouse/partner must meet the Australian General Skilled Migration basic requirements for age, English proficiency, and specified occupation (as listed above). The applicant will get 5 additional points.
10.Professional year
In addition, applicants receive 5 points if they have completed an authorized Professional Year in Australia during the last four years. A Professional Year is a planned professional development program. It combines formal education with on-job training. The professional year must have been spent in their selected or closely related occupation.
Sponsorship and Nominations (Subclasses 190 and 489 only)
For being sponsored by an Australian state or territory government, applicants for a Skilled Nominated visa (subclass 190) and a Skilled Nominated or Sponsored visa (Provisional) (Subclass 489) receive 5 and 10 points respectively.
Minimum Score
Australia operates the General Skilled Migration (GSM) program and uses the Skill-Select system to invite applicants. The minimum score required for eligibility can change based on the demand for specific occupations and the number of applications received.
